Tetrabutylammonium triphenyldifluorosilicate
TBAT

TBAT CAS: 163931-61-1 mp: 150 - 151°C TBAT is an anhydrous, white, crystalline solid with a melting point of 150 - 151 °C. This salt is not hygroscopic and is soluble in most organic solvents. TBAT is a promising new fluoride source for nucleophilic displacement reactions and cleavage of carbon silicon bonds.
Additionally, TBAT is an efficient arylation reagent for alkyl halides and pseudo-halides under Pd-catalyzed conditions.
Applications: A. Fluorination: non-basic fluoride anion (F-) surrogate (1,2)

B. Cleavage of Carbon Silicon Bonds under Non-Basic Conditions (3)

C. Transfer of Aryl Groups in Pd-Catalyzed Coupling Reactions (4,5)

An alternative to Aryl Stannane Derivatives
